The Public Health Sciences Undergraduate Program and the College of Nursing and Health Sciences (CNHS) at the University of Vermont are currently inviting applications for a unique and impactful position. This full-time, nine-month role combines responsibilities as a Lecturer (70%) and as the Director of Diversity, Equity, Inclusion (DEI) (30%). The ideal candidate will possess a blend of academic, professional, or lived expertise in DEI, health equity, and public health. This role is not just an academic position; it’s an opportunity to shape the future of health sciences education by developing DEI initiatives, mentoring students, and launching courses in the new undergraduate Public Health, Equity, and Advocacy minor.

The significance of this position extends beyond the classroom. The selected candidate will play a pivotal role in enriching the CNHS college culture and student experience at UVM, contributing directly to the University’s mission and the Public Health Sciences Undergraduate Program. The position, set to begin in Fall 2024, offers a chance to influence the next generation of health professionals, ensuring they are equipped with a deep understanding of health equity as a social justice outcome and a professional metric.
