A key aspect of community-based work is participation. People on the ground, such as community members, service recipients, and those providing services, should have a say in the types of interventions that are implemented. And, as we’re seeing throughout the United States, this is super tough work for public health because sometimes that say goes against the overall goals of community-based wellness (I explored this a bunch in an earlier post).

While we can see that community engagement is a key theme in the Twitter chatter this week, it’s a lofty task that takes authentic conversation and difficult co-design.

The Top Tweeters

In addition to our top tweeters from last week, we see two new accounts jumping up. @ProvidertechUS is a medical reminder-based service. @Healthbegins is a research and evaluation firm focused on the upstream determinants of health.
